myCOI Nominated as Exceptional Employer in 2021 TechPoint Mira Awards

INDIANAPOLIS (February 16, 2021) — myCOI, the industry leader in certificate of insurance (COI) management software, is a finalist for the 2021 TechPoint Mira Awards in the Exceptional Employer category. TechPoint, the nonprofit growth accelerator for Indiana’s tech ecosystem, named more than 120 nominees across 13 categories.

The Exceptional Employer category focuses on companies doing an exceptional job of hiring and developing talent, cultivating workspaces and workplace culture and deliberately increasing diversity.

“myCOI takes a people-first approach to business,” says CEO Kristen Nunery. “The company adheres to not just what the leadership team wants, but what employees want, whenever possible. That belief system has been put into action on numerous occasions.” In an effort to support its employees and another local tech company, myCOI began utilizing Fishers-based Emplify’s employee-engagement software.

myCOI went fully remote in early March 2020 in response to the pandemic, to ensure employees felt supported and safe. To further balance working from home with family time, myCOI implemented a four-day workweek option. If anyone preferred to get their work done Monday through Thursday, they could take advantage of a 3-day weekend in June. Employees were grateful for the opportunity and proved to be as productive as ever, so that option was extended indefinitely.

The 2021 TechPoint Mira Award Ceremony will be held virtually April 21, 2021. More than 5,000 attended the virtual 2020 ceremony.
