Procore Integration Transition Guide
for Existing myCOI Procore Integration Customers
Instructions
Step 1: Update the myCOI Insurance Compliance Software App in Procore
Log into Procore
Select the “Select an App” dropdown in the upper right corner of your Procore Screen.
Select ”App Management”
Select “View” on the existing myCOI App.
On the App Info page, click “Update Available”.
A confirmation dialog provides additional information about the new application release. Click “Update” to proceed with the update.
During the update process, you may be prompted to create new application configurations and/or confirm tool permissions for the application (e.g., with a DMSA app).
Select Install again
Select the X to close out of the “Installation Successful” Screen.
Select Skip on the “Add Permitted Projects” screen
Setting up Project Permission Template for myCOI-xxxxxx user
Go to Company Tools dropdown and select Permissions.
Select “Project Permission Templates”
Select “Create Project Permission Template”
Select Project (Global) – Assign to all Projects
Name the permission Template “myCOI Integration” and select confirm
Select the Admin button in the Permission Tools line.
Select Save
Add projects to myCOI user in Procore
Access Company Users and locate the myCOI user and select Edit
⦁ Select the Edit button next to the myCOI username that will have a unique numbering after it, myCOI-insurance-compliance-software-xxxxxxxx (i.e. mycoi-insurance-compliance-software-0c4deaea):
Scroll to the bottom of the user profile and select “Select Default Template”
Select the Project Template you created (myCOI Integration) and then select Apply.
Select the two boxes under New Project Settings.
Scroll to the “Projects the [user name] Does Not Belong To section” and select “Add All”
- This will give this user access to all projects and allow data to be passed between myCOI and Procore for these projects.
Select Save at the bottom of the user profile.
Add Ability to Create Projects, Vendors, and Commitments from Procore to myCOI (Optional)
Once you have updated the myCOI Application you will complete the following steps.
Select “+ Create Configuration”
Check both boxes, enter a title of what you would like your end users to see when accessing the Procore Side Panel, and enter “secure” as your subdomain.
Select the Create button.
Send Email to myCOI
Send an email to support@mycoitracking.com to let them know all steps have been completed.
- Subject: myCOI Procore App Update complete
- Please include the following in the body of your email
- [Enter your company name] has completed updating our myCOI App in Procore and is ready to move forward with completing the setup.
- Please finalize the steps in myCOI so we may begin using the enhanced version of the myCOI Procore integration.
- The Procore Company ID we are integrating is [Enter Procore Company ID]
*If you are using the commitments module in Procore, and your contract IDs in myCOI do not match your commitment IDs in Procore, you will receive additional information from myCOI on how to update this information before activating the integration.
Once we receive your email, myCOI will finalize the setup on our end and notify you when the transition is complete. You will then begin to see the enhancements to the compliance updates and have access to the myCOI Side Panel (when applicable) where you can push projects, vendors, and commitments from Procore to myCOI.
